You, the Man of the mountain where the
foxtail millet yield appears as the trunk of the male elephant mating with its
female; and the parrots with their red peck eat the millet. You and my lady are
in love with each other. If her mother comes to know the matter, what will
happen to her? She used to play gathering water-lilies in mountain-pond; her
eyes will glamour like two petals of that flower; and her eyes will shed tears.
Will you like it? No.
Please get
her after marriage, the friend-maid of the lady says to the man of her lady.
Poet: Madurai
Puvanda Nagan Vettanar
