He is to go to a distant place for
earning. She, his lover wants to stop him; but did not. It is a kind of culture
not to stop while somebody going out to do his duty. She behaves in such a kind
of culture. It is a route where Silvidu (bird damonmensch) raises its voice, hiding in Omai
tree.
If a man does not earn he cannot lead
his life happily. With this aim he is going out. She did not prevent him,
though her eyes are tearing. How she learns such a highly civilized culture,
the friend-maid wonders.
She is a nice girl as a beautiful art
of a Damsel on wall. Her eyes are like joined petals of water lily; but in
tears. Her feet are as tender as the tongue of a hound. Her hair is fertile.
With these words, the friend-maid
intends her lady should not prevent him to go on earning to a distant place.
Poet: AmMeiyan Naganar
This is a poem of second century B.C.
