Natrinai 243

There is a hill-park with a brook. There is a mango tree on the bank of stream brook. Cuckoo sings sitting on the tree. “Life is like the ultimate result of gambling ends in loss. Don’t miss the life enjoying” is the message of renounced man. The cuckoo conveys this message by its voice. My man hugging me in bed says me the truth. But by his instinct he leaves me going on earning. He proves wealth is more valuable than virtuous deed. That is his view; but my view is different. The lady says to her friend-maid.
Poet:  KamakKani Pasalaiyar
This is a poem of second century B.C.
