Hanging sun sets in evening, mixing
the light and dark in the shy. The fishermen sell their big fishes got at sea. They
live in houses with yard where crabs play; and the yard smells fishy. The way
to go to their house will be full of sand water lilies. The passersby will
tread on the flowers carelessly leaving them to die. He is the Man of such kind
of littoral track. I did not behave as he likes in love affairs. The village
instructs me to hug him pressing my hands, the bangles in it to break. If I do
so before marriage, what will happen?
The lady asks her friend-maid aiming
the hearing man; his lover will marry her to fulfill his ambition.
Poet: Kuntriyanar
This is a poem of second century B.C.
