| love mad |
The lady asks her friend-maid to get
permission from her mother to go to the house-yard.
“She is in uncontrollable love-sick;
she feels as she is among the fire; she wants to breathe outside in the house promises”.
Please convey these words to my mother and get permission to go outside the house.
If I will be outside at least the air blows from the mountain of the Man, my lover
that cure my love-sick which changes my old beauty of complexion.
On hearing these words, the man hearing
in a distant place will marry her to enjoy, they hope.
Poet: Nambi Kuttuvan
This is a poem of second century B.C.
