Agananuru 255

He went to earn wealth sailing in Vangam-ship.
It is a clamoring Vangam (ship). It sails plowing the sea day and night. The loaded goods in ship will be off-shored on sand of the shore. The navigator of the ship will watch the light on tower (light-house) and sails on.
My husband went on earning by the sailing ship leaving me many days.
I feel the time is passing slowly.

“Saying these words”, the friend-maid says to her lady, “you are in melancholy”.

North-wind in chillness is blowing. It helps blossoming flowers Karuvilai, Pagantrai, water-lily, bitter-guard, Kutalam, etc. it smells in the top-floor of our house. It lashes chillness upon me. I am thinking about my Man who sailed in ship. My body is leaning for want of his presence.

“Saying these words you my lady are suffering”, the friend-maid continues “don’t be sad; he will return shortly”.
