The hero speaks with his mind.
You, my mind, you are believing that
she can tolerate my separation earning away from here with the belief that wealth
is more important than life. Even though, I do not come along with you leaving
my lady here.
It will be a dry forest where the
bamboo bush fades in want of rain. The people of the forest are thieves killing
the merchants passing through the way. They, with their chief, will be waiting
toddy shop run by ladies, early in the morning, having nothing to pay exchange as
price. The chief will be fondling the head of his son, showing him the tusk of a
wild elephant, aiming to get and pay for toddy. That is the forest you are
aiming to stay and pass through.
There will be Murukkam-Tree with
flowers like fire flaming having shade not suitable to stay under. Bees will
raise lute music in the flowers. There will be camels eating bones of dead
bodies having no cactus to eat.
I do not come with you in such a dry
forest leaving my sweet girl of beauty.
