Agananuru 217

Foggy is moving as the cotton when it is beaten to purify, after Rainy-season.
Sugar-cane flowers are nodding their white tassel head like that of the flower Pulai by the wind-flow.
Transparent flowers Pagantrai blossom like mirror in bluish.
Bean’s flowers blossom like the fingers in hen’s leg.
Flowers Tontri drop their pollen on ground.
Crane birds raise their voice in cold.
The women live alone without their spouse, are shivering in cold leaving their ornaments aside.
These are the phenomena of the season.

The man who enjoys my sex is not with me.
My teeth are lashing up and down in snow lashing season. (Winter in Tamil Nadu)
The lady says these words to her friend-maid; and adds “Let us request other to live together with their spouse”.

A poem by: KalarKiranEitriyar
