Agananuru 191

Her hair is bed to him

He used her hair as bed
He speaks with his mind.
Salt sellers will pass through the lonely forest loading their salt on cart. They will wear flower garland on their head made of white-Patiri flower and red-Alari flowers joined alternatively; chapels made of leather in feet. They will have strong wood in their hand by which they will lift the wheel of their cart helping their oxen to pull easily. The oxen wear bells on their neck to sound. They drive the oxen with a threatening whistle. The bell sound and the whistle voice will make some comfort to the new passerby. That is arid track with Omai-trees. He asks his mind, are you ready to pass through such route for earning wealth for you. Decide immediately.
Her hair-bed, you like very much. Wearing Mullai flower it will smell sweetly. The curling of the hair will be as the flowing sand-bed in river. Do you like to enjoy the hair-bed-sleep? That is your choice.

A poem by: Kandarattanar in Orodagam village
The text is belongs to second century B.C. or earlier.
