Village
VelurVayil was famous for toddy and paddy in those days. It is the Deity in the
village VelurVayil that awards death punishment to those who lies. The hero
enjoyed a concubine playing in river Cauvery flood. But to console his wife he
lies saying “I do not know the girl, you are angry on her”. He promises on the
name this Deity. The concubine converses with friend-maid saying “If he says to
his wife that he did not know me at all, and then who played yesterday wetting
me in Cauvery River”. He is lying.
