Punnai flower |
Flowers Adumbu will blossom in and
around lagoon. The girls play in the sand where the lagoon waves dashes, gather
the flowers and decorate their hair with the flowers. That is the place in
which I met my lover. We exchange our love feelings without touching each
other. As it is so, my mother, once asked me “where is he” thinking as we have
enjoyed in love affairs. It is very bad. She reads the reality of my body in
chastity.
You my friend, hear the sound the bell
in his chariot. He is coming in night time. He will come to our street and stay
under the tree Punnai with its broad trunk. What shall we do?
The heroine asks her friend-maid.
