He,
the hero, returning home after his duty is over, describes his chariot-driver
about his lover’s dwelling place.

| Fox eating sheep |
There
is a hill-top with honey-hive. The slop-land is the valley full of flowers ‘Musundai’.
It is mid-night. The shepherd is guarding the calves of the sheep from fox
stealing. He has fire-wood in his hand to drive away the sheep-stealing foxes. The
foxes are raising sound to gather their family attack in crew. The shepherd is
wearing a kind of flower garland made of two kinds of flowers, Mullai and
Tontri. Honey-beetles are rounding the flowers in his head.
Wild-pigs
are coming to feed the grains in the harvest. The peasants guarding are blowing
horns to drive away the pigs. There are mixing sounds alarming; the voice of
foxes and blowing sound of horn. She, my lover is dwelling amides of such a
kind of nature. Let us reach there as early as possible.
