Agananuru 93

I earned wealth as the Chola’s capital city ‘Uraiyr’. She, my lover will be with fragrant smell in her fore-head and hair as the smell perfumes in the market of Madurai, the capital of ‘Pandiya’ king. You, my mind, let me hug her again and again so many times as the number of sands on the bank of the river ‘TanAnPorunai’ at Karuvur, the capital of Kotai, a Ctera king. The hero of the poem says to his mind.
Aims of earning wealth
We earn wealth, what is the aim? To help the relatives in poverty; to make enjoy the relatives surrounding; to make others to become relatives, we earn.
King Cholas wear ‘Atti’ as their family’s token flowers. They earned victories in many wars. Their court is famous for righteous judgments. Their capital is Urandai, a part of modern Tiruchirappalli. It was rich enough at that period. I have earned enough wealth as that of the city.
The capital of king Valuti, is Kudal, (modern Madurai). The day-bazaar of the city is always with sweet fragrant. The fore-head and hair of my lover, smells with fragrant, as that of thee bazaar in Madurai.
My house is huge as that of a cave in the mount. There, I have my cot with mattress tendering enough as that of water-foam. Lamp will be lighting at the place. I and she have ornaments in our hands. Let us hug each other to have the press impression on bodies.
King Kodai is a victorious ruler used to travel mounting either on his elephant or chariot. His capital is Karuvur. River TanAnPorunai is flowing at the city. It has enormous sand on its bank. I have to hug her more than the number of times as the number of sands in that bank.
You my mind, please remember.
