Agananuru 106

crane eats fish
The concubine damns well the legal wife of the hero before her friend-maid.
He is the Man of that village with ponds where lotus is flowering like fire flame. Small fishes will be roaming there eating damaged leaves. Crane bird with damaged wing will be moving slowly to catch fish prey.
His wife is sulking with him saying that he has love relation with me. Really there is no such a kind of relation with him. However, my friend, you see, I like to taunt her in person. Could you join with me?
If I do not taunt her in real deed, let my belly suffer with pain as the band suffer while the lyricists is beating on the victorious timing in war, won by the King ‘Seliyan’.

A poem by: Vanganar, Alangudi village
The text is belongs to second century B.C. or earlier.
