Agananuru 42

The friend-maid shares the glad-news of hero’s arriving to marry, to her lady. She said that she is in as happy mood as people when the rain falls to fill the lakes and ponds after a long span of dry season; the season that appears any green plants in land, trees without bird-shelters and plows are sleeping without use.
The end of her eye is as the bud of Pittigai-flower
When she addresses her lady, she praises her beauty, describing her eye-ends are as the buds of Pittigai-flower and her skin as tender as Mango-new-leaves.

A poem by: Kabilar
The text is belongs to second century B.C. or earlier.
