Love poem Kurunthogai # 354

Eyes become red if we play in water excess of time.
Honey tastes sour if we eat excess in quantity.
So my lady becomes bitter for you. How can she become sweet?
Once, when she was in her father’s house she quenches your lust appetite.
It was the house surrounded by ponds and the street in which snakes were moving.
