Love poem Kurunthogai # 330

Friend! It seems that Pagantrai flower is not blooming at the way in which he is passing through.
It is flower blossoming in the evening.
It resembles mud-cleaner applied wet-cloth digging in the pond to rinse by Pulatthi (a woman who washes village peoples’ cloth by career)
It is a smell-less flower.
It has enormous nectar while blossoming.
(If it is on his way he could have remembered my position and return).

Words by    - heroine
To whom    - her friend-maid
Context       - when the hero is away earning.

Author of the poem is Ki;ran eytran of Kal’a;r village
2nd century B.C.
