Love poem Kurunthogai # 327

Plantain tree
on the river-bed
He, the Man of mountain, knowing my position that I could not live without him as that the poor could not live without the help of rich, left me carelessly.
The forest river flows with plantain tree from its bank. It would have known that plantain is under her care; that is without river fertile the tree could not survive. It is a merciless deed in the part of the river rooting out the tree and flow down destroying its own beauty.
Comparing the both events the river’s deed is crueler.
