227. நெய்தல்

பூண் வனைந்தன்ன பொலஞ் சூட்டு நேமி

வாள் முகம் துமிப்ப வள் இதழ் குறைந்த

கூழை நெய்தலும் (படம் - நெய்தல்) உடைத்து, இவண்

தேரோன் போகிய கானலானே.

கையில் உள்ள பூண் வளைவு போல் இரும்புக் கட்டுப் போட்ட அவன் தேர்ச்சக்கரம் வட்டமான நெய்தல் இலைகளை வட்டிக்கொண்டு சென்ற பதிவு இந்தக் கானலில் காணப்படுகிறதே. இவ்வாறு தோழி தலைவிஇயிடம் கூறுகிறாள். (அவனிடம் நீ செல்ல்லாம் என்பது கருத்து)
