219. நெய்தல்

பயப்பு என் மேனியதுவே; நயப்பு அவர்

நார் இல் நெஞ்சத்து ஆர் இடையதுவே;

செறிவும் சேண் இகந்தன்றே; அறிவே;

''ஆங்கண் செல்கம் எழுக'' என, ஈங்கே,

வல்லா கூறியிருக்கும்; அள் இலைத்

தடவு நிலைத் தாழைச் சேர்ப்பற்கு

இடம்மன் தோழி! ''எந் நீரிரோ?'' எனினே.

சிறைப்புறம்.

வெள்ளூர் கிழார் மகனார் வெண்பூதியார் பாடல்

அடுக்கு அடுக்காக நீண்டு கழிகுளத்தில் நிலைகொண்டிருக்கும் தாழைழ

தாழையை உடைய கடல்சேர் நிலம்.

அந்த நிலத்தவன் சேர்ப்பன்.

சேர்ப்பனுக்கு நான் இடம்.

“நீ எத் தன்மையள்” எனின் இதுதான் விடை.

பயப்பு என் மேனியில் உள்ளது.

நயப்பு அன்பில்லாத அவர் நெஞ்சத்தில் மிகத் தொலைவில் உள்ளது.

செறிப்பு என் தாய் இங்கு எனக்கு வைத்திருக்கும் சிறை.

அறிவு என்னை “அவனிடம் செல்லலாம் எழுக” என்று சும்மா கூறிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது.

என்ன செய்வது எனப் புலப்படவில்லை.
