Foster-mother visited her eloped daughter in her residence. She was smashing curd with her fingers that resembles flower glory lily. She tightened her dress that becomes loose without washing her fingers. When she cooked the curd with mustard in boiling oil the gas dashed her eyes and she wiped her eyes with same dirty fingers. Then she added the curd with cooked rice. He, her husband ate the curd-rice food tasting and saying “Sweet”. Her cheerfulness blossoms in her face of beautiful eyebrow. The foster-mother conveyed this message to her daughter’s mother.

167. முல்லை

முளி தயிர் பிசைந்த காந்தள் மெல் விரல்,

கழுவுறு கலிங்கம், கழாஅது, உடீஇ,

குவளை உண்கண் குய்ப்புகை கழுமத்

தான் துழந்து அட்ட தீம் புளிப் பாகர்

''இனிது'' எனக் கணவன் உண்டலின்,

நுண்ணிதின் மகிழ்ந்தன்று ஒண்ணுதல் முகனே.

கடிநகர்ச் சென்ற செவிலித்தாய், நற்றாய்க்கு உரைத்தது.

கூடலூர் கிழார் பாடல்

அவள் தன் காந்தள் வோன்ற விரல்களால் தயிரைப் பிசைந்தாள். அப்போது நழுவிய தன் ஆடையைக் கையைக் கழுவாமல் உடுத்திக்கொண்டாள். தயிருக்குத் தாளிக்கும்போது அதன் புகை கண்ணில் பட்டது. அப்போதும் கையைக் கழுவாமல் கண்களைத் துடைத்துக்கொண்டாள். (இப்படி அவள் மேனியெல்லாம் அலங்கோலம். அவனுக்கோ அவள்மீது கொள்ளை ஆசை)

அவளுக்கு (கணவனுடன் ஓடிப்போன மகளுக்கு) ஒரே மகிழ்ச்சி. அது அவள் முகத்தில் பளிச்சிட்டது. அவள் சமைத்துக் கட்டிய தயிர்ச்சோற்றை அவன் “இனிமை இனிமை” என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டு உண்கிறான்.

இதனைப் பார்த்த அவளது செவிலித்தாய் அவளைப் பெற்ற தாயிடம் சொல்லி மகழ்கிறாள்.
