No things are eternal in the world.

Changing is stable. 

A friend-maid consoles her lady with these words.

Fading complexion with greensickness in your body will never stand.

It is nature that the wealth in the hands of a benevolent man will pass on to others.

So your greensickness also will pass away.

He (your lover) is brimmed with boundless kind (love).

He is afraid of other’s blame.

(So he will return soon)

143. குறிஞ்சி

அழியல் ஆயிழை! அன்பு பெரிது உடையன்;

பழியும் அஞ்சும், பய மலை நாடன்;

நில்லாமையே நிலையிற்று ஆகலின்,

நல் இசை வேட்ட நயனுடை நெஞ்சின்

கடப்பாட்டாளனுடைப் பொருள் போலத்

தங்குதற்கு உரியது அன்று, நின்

அம் கலுழ் மேனிப் பாஅய பசப்பே.

வரைவிடை வைத்துப் பிரிந்தவிடத்துத் தலைமகட்குத் தோழி கூறியது.

மதுரைக் கணக்காயன் மகன் நக்கீரன் பாடல்

நிலையாமையே உலகியல்பு.

கடப்பாட்டாளன் கையிலுள்ள பொருள் அவனிடம் தங்காமல் பிறருக்கு மாறிவிடுவது போல அவனைப் பிரிந்த வருத்தத்தால் உன் மேனியிலுள்ள பாசி-நிறமும் தங்காது.

வருந்தாதே.

மலைநாடன் பெரிதும் அன்புடையவன்.

பிறர் பழி தூற்றுவார்களே என அஞ்சுபவன்.
