As a crane bird which is being unable to fly sitting in the east seashore (of Tamil land) looks stretching its peck ahead to have a pray of sprat fish (image) in the seashore of Tondi (Tyndis) harbor (situated in the western seashore of Tamil land), you, my mind, expect to get her (your mate) who is away and unreachable. Now you are suffering from love. Further you are going to be suffering always.

128. நெய்தல்

குண கடல் திரையது பறை தபு நாரை

திண் தேர்ப் பொறையன் தொண்டி முன்துறை

அயிரை ஆர் இரைக்கு அணவந்தாஅங்குச்

சேயள் அரியோட் படர்தி;

நோயை நெஞ்சே! நோய்ப் பாலோயே.

அல்ல குறிப்பட்டு மீளும் தலைமகன் தன் நெஞ்சினை நெருங்கிச் சொல்லியது; உணர்ப்புவயின் வாரா ஊடற்கண் தலைமகன் கூறியதூஉம் ஆம்

பரணர் பாடல்

பொறையனின் தொண்டி நகரத் துறை மேற்குக் கடலோரம் உள்ளது. 

கிழக்குக் கடலோரம் வாழும் பறக்க முடியாத நாரை ஒன்று 

தொண்டித் துறையிலுள்ள அயிரை மீனுக்கு ஆசைப்பட்டது போல 

தொலைவில் கிடைத்தற்கு அரியவளாக இருக்கும் அவளை (காதலியை) 

நினைத்துக்கொண்டே இருக்கிறாய். 

உனக்குக் காமநோய். 

எப்போதும் இந்தக் காமநோயிலேயே கிடக்கப்போகிறாய்.
