Flower fragrant screw pine appears as
the tusk of an elephant; the tree grows on the sand-bank of the lagoon; the
flower sheds pollen on the ground; it removes the bad smell of the lagoon with
fishes; and smells fragrant in the street of the village and the adjoining
littoral park. There starts your love with him. It grows so intimate that you
and he cannot live even one day without meeting each other. The friend-maid
says to her lady. Look at there. The chariot and it horses are standing. The village
is speaking something on assumption.
The man hearing these
words in a distance must marry her is the aim of this conversation.
Poet: Ulochanar
This is a poem of second century B.C.
