Natrinai 109

The heroine hides her sorrow of parting her lover to her friend-maid.
You, my friend, making me, ask me why you are pale in your fore-head. Is it a kind of sorrow remembering your lover’s assurance of marriage-friendship? It is not the cause. You see, north-wind is blowing with snow of chillness. It makes the cow tied by a kind of knot ‘KULAI’ shivering. As the cow suffers, I am suffering. That is all, my friend. It is night after day. I am being alone. What shall I do?
The cow is tied with a kind of free rope in head KULAI
