The friend-maid
consoles her lady waiting for her lover return back.
She adds;
there seems dimness in your fore-head. Your shoulders are leaning in thought of
your lover’s hug. Having refused eating your life is parting from your body. Letting
you in such a position he left you alone. That is not a good character. Feeling in
this way you are suffering and crying aloud. Don’t be crying.

| budding leaves in bamboo plant |
He will
be passing through the forest in Venkadam country ruled by the patron-king
Tiraiyan famous in his victorious spear. There, he will happen to see
male-elephant feeds its female with its new-born baby budding plant of bamboo. It
will make him think of you and return soon.
He assured
you that he will return in rainy season. You see; that is the season came with blooming
flowers in Vengai-tree. These flowers are shedding on peacock’s back. The peacock
is trying to remove the flowers by shaking its wings dancing on the plant ‘Kurundu’
and calling its female to join with its love. This scene also makes him to
think of you. Don’t be crying.
