Purananuru # 070

musical instrument of 'pana' artists
Pana (a poet with instrumental music)! If you approach king KilliValavan you can receive gifts more than that of a wood-cutter chanced to get a gold-bundle.
Panan – He plays music in his yazh instrument as honey flows sweet. He also have ‘kinai’ (a kind of band) that seems as tortoise hanged in a rope to play on. He raise music with words “Be happy and peace everywhere”.
The kingdom of KilliValavan – It has enormous wealth as that of a pond never low in its water in the month of ‘Thai’ (January). There is no destroying fire except cooking fire. Again it has brimmed with food and medicines.
You go with your wife who is in joy mood wearing water-lily and patiri-flower on her head and receive the king’s gifts.
