Purananuru # 066

KariKalan the King attaining throne, a story by historical notes
You the king KariKal Valava! You are mounting on your elephant.
You are the descendant of the king who ruled over the wind binding by sailing bissiness-voyage-yacht on sea.
You had proved your ability by victory in wars. So you are good.
But your opponent is better with fame than you, because, he having ashamed of his wound by your attack, on his back, forced his life pass away by sitting faced towards north.

Poem by: VenniKuyattiyar, (a woman of pot making family)
Poem to: king KariKal PeruValattan
Message: victory and fame (a comparison)
