Natrinai 248

The friend-maid consoles her lady.
He, my lady’s lover assured her returning back before rainy season when Flower Mullai will bloom in bush appearing as deer with dots on its body, and went on earning. He did not come yet. So the thunder hears is not in real rainy season. I shall not believe the rain and thunder as they are in real season as the peacocks believe and dance in folly season.
With these words the maid conveys to her lady his lover will return surely as he assured.

Mullai
Poet:  Kasipan Kiranar
