Purananuru 333

You, the poets, if you have a chance of passing throw the village yard where rabbits play in bush-fence and live in holes, the woman living there will invite you to eat and take rest in her house, though you are not fatigue. Her position is in critical condition that she has no food grains either Varagu (brown-millet) of Tinai (yellow-millet) to cook. All the grains she has stock are given to poor in need in the form of food or gift to cook. Even though she will provide you food by pounding the yellow-millet reserved for seeding. That is her natural habit of behavior. Who may be in higher position as captain of elephant force or as monarch of chariot rider will eat this millet-food. Please be happy with the offering.
